Toxic ingredients in store brand soap and skin care

check out these great reviews on soaps and skin care products

Toxic ingredients in store brand soap and skin care, also includes Ivory. Although Ivory is probably one of the better store bars out there. The Ivory soap bar (classic) had contained: sodium tallowate, sodium cocoate or sodium palm kernelate, water, sodium chloride, sodium silicate, magnesium sulfate, and fragrance, and a pH value: 9.5.

Newer varieties of Ivory soap, like 'Simply Ivory' contained altered ingredients: sodium tallowate and/or sodium palmate, water, sodium cocoate or sodium palm kernelate, glycerin, sodium chloride, fragrance, plus one or more of the following: coconut acid, palm kernel acid, tallow acid or palm acid, and tetrasodium EDTA.

But if you compare this to Dial Antibacterial Gold bar soap: Fragrance, Sorbitol, Glycerin, Triclocarban, Pentasodium pentetate, D&C Yellow #8, FD&C (or D&C) Yellow #5, Tetrasodium etidronate, FD&C Red #4 (CI 14700), Sodium chloride, Water Sodium tallowate, PEG-6 methyl ether, Talc, Coconut fatty acids, Sodium cocoate, Sodium palm kernelate, Sodium Palmate, Fatty acids, C8-C18 and C18-unsaturated, sodium salts, Fatty acids, C14-18 and C16-18-unsaturated, sodium salts and Palm acid.

Take a look at some of the reviews on the following products:

I used to work for an importer of luxury bath and skin products and had to go over the foreign product labels to ensure that they met with the labeling regulations. It is amazing what a label can say without saying anything concrete or specific. And that the name of a company has no reflection on the type of product. For instance, I could have called my soap company "The Totally Organic Soap company", but that is just the name of a company. What is lawful is any claims made on the label such as 'look 10 years younger'. Whereas 'appear younger' is a comment regarding the 'appearance' of looking younger, not that you really are looking younger. This is the law, and sometimes you need a linguist to figure out what is being said.
